Half-Scale Lotus 97T Display Model at No Reserve

This 1:2 scale model was built in the likeness of the Lotus 97T driven by Ayrton Senna during the 1985 Formula One season. The fiberglass replica wears a black-and-gold #12 John Player Special livery. Features include front and rear wings, Goodyear-branded rubber tires, a fixed-back seat, a faux harness, and a three-spoke steering wheel. Acquired by the seller in November 2025, this 97T-style display model is now offered at no reserve in Pompano Beach, Florida.

Designed by Gérard Ducarouge and Martin Ogilvie, the 97T was driven by Ayrton Senna and Elio de Angelis during the 1985 Formula One World Championship. Notable features included bargeboards between the front wheels and side pods, as well as winglets relocated to the trailing edges of the side pods. The team achieved nine podium finishes with the 97T that year, as well as fourth place in the World Constructors’ Championship.

This 1:2 scale replica of Senna’s #12 car was constructed from fiberglass and wears a black-and-gold John Player Special livery with sponsor logos including Renault, Goodyear, and Olympus. Further details consist of front and rear wings, a rear diffuser, side mirrors, a roll hoop, and side pods with faux radiator vents.

The fiberglass wheels are wrapped in rubber tires with Goodyear Eagle F1 lettering. The suspension link arms and pull-rods are replicated in black and simulated carbon fiber.

The cockpit is modeled with a fixed-back seat and red harness straps. The model is approximately 80″ long by 39″ wide; it weighs about 100 pounds.
