This 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera coupe was acquired by the current owner in 2025 and subsequently modified in safari-style by Werks Gruppe in Oregon, with work involving the installation of EXE-TC shocks, Turbo tie rods, a bump steer kit, 16″ Braid wheels, and custom bumpers with skid plates. Power is routed to the rear wheels through a G50 five-speed manual transaxle and a WaveTrac differential. The car is finished in Guards Red with two-tone blue stripe decals, and additional safari equipment consists of a Warn front winch, auxiliary lighting, and a spare tire rack. Inside, the Scheel-Mann seats wear black leatherette and fabric upholstery, and appointments include air conditioning, a Dual Bluetooth stereo, a MOMO steering wheel, a Rennline short shifter, and a hydraulic hand brake lever. This Carrera coupe is now offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Oregon title.
The car is finished in Guards Red, and the front clip, rockers, mirror covers, and left quarter panel were refinished in 2001. Multi-tone blue stripe graphics accent the hood, decklid, and bodysides, and the custom safari bumpers feature integrated skid plates. A Warn VRX45 winch, Baja Designs rear dust light, and Baja Designs auxiliary driving lights were added during the build, and additional details include a whale-tail rear spoiler, a power sunroof, and yellow fog light lenses. Paint chips are noted by the seller along with a chip in the windshield and a dent on the left fender. The sunroof seals and windshield washer pump were replaced in 2022.
The 16″ Braid WinraceT Lightweight wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich tires measuring 215/65, and a matching spare is housed in a custom spare tire rack above the rear window. Suspension incorporates EXE-TC custom-valved shocks and Turbo tie rods, and an ERP bump steer kit and front strut tower brace have been added. Stainless-steel brake lines and a Chase Bays Hydro Tuning hydraulic hand brake were also installed.
The Scheel-Mann front bucket seats are trimmed in black leatherette with fabric inserts, and appointments include air conditioning, a Dual Bluetooth stereo, power windows, and a Rennline short shifter. Maxtrax traction boards are housed in the front trunk.
The MOMO Prototipo 370mm steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 6,300-rpm redline as well as a 170-mph speedometer, a Quarz clock, and gauges for oil level, oil pressure, oil temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 162k miles, approximately 150 of which were added under current ownership.
The 3.2-liter M930/25 flat-six features Bosch Motronic engine management and was factory rated at 217 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. An auxiliary oil cooler is fitted in the right front fender. The engine was rebuilt in 2004, including the installation of Euro-spec pistons and cylinders, Web Cam performance camshafts, and a BBR exhaust system.
